The Grand Meditation Stadium for World Peace


Construction of the Grand Meditation Stadium is part of the Dhammakaya Project. This Buddhist religious site has been established since 1994 according to the vision of Phrarajbhavanavisuth, Luang Phor Dhammachaiyo (President of Dhammakaya Foundation) to see everyone reaching their inner peace and happiness in order to create world peace. The Stadium will serve one million peace lovers for mass meditation and important ceremonies all year round.

This massive structure spans across an area of 1 square kilometer and the final state is the construction of the roof covering the entire stadium.

Stainless steel will be used to construct the roof , this will ensure low- cost maintenance for decades to come. The entire structure is designed to withstand the test of time and to last a thousand years. Each pyramid like module that make up the roof will give an impression of diamonds of the meditation stadium reaching out to the limitless sky.

Meditation for World Peace has been the main drive in constructing this stadium, thus all ceremonies taking place here will begin with a session of meditation to purify the mind. Once the roof is constructed it will become the gathering place for one million peace-lovers to celebrate World Peace through Inner Peace.

Humanitarian activities will be conducted under this roof all year round, to help build good people for the improvement of societies. It is undeniable that a â??Clean Worldâ?? can only be built by people who possess a â??Clean Mindâ??.
